01Our Commitment
1.1Airtex UK Limited is committed to making its website, www.airtexuk.com, accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.
1.2We recognise our duties under the Equality Act 2010, which requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people are not placed at a substantial disadvantage when using our services.
1.3We actively work to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and, in doing so, adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.
02Standards We Follow
2.1This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
2.2These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone. The guidelines are organised around four principles: websites should be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
2.3Pages on this website use HTML5 structural markup and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for visual presentation, in line with current W3C recommendations.
03Features We Have Implemented
Navigation & structure
- A "Skip to content" link appears on every page for users of screen readers and keyboard navigation.
- Consistent navigation and layout across pages.
- Descriptive page titles and logical heading structure (
h1–h3). - Meaningful link text that makes sense out of context.
Visual design
- Colour contrast ratios intended to meet or exceed WCAG 2.2 AA thresholds for body text.
- Relative font sizes that respect the user's browser text-size settings.
- Responsive layouts that reflow on mobile, tablet and desktop devices.
- Visible keyboard focus indicators on interactive elements.
Assistive technology
- Semantic HTML landmarks (

alt) text for informative images, and emptyaltattributes on purely decorative images. - Form fields paired with programmatic labels where forms are provided.
- The language of the page is declared in the
<html lang>attribute.
04Known Limitations
Whilst we strive to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site to the same level of overall web accessibility.
Known limitations at the date of this statement include:
- Some embedded third-party content (for example, map or video providers) may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA; where this is the case, we seek accessible alternatives or provide equivalent information in text.
- Certain older PDF or image-based documents may lack full screen-reader support. On request, we will provide an accessible alternative.
In the meantime, should you experience any difficulty accessing content on www.airtexuk.com, please do not hesitate to contact us.
